What is Kundalini?
Yogi Bhajan explains: “Kundalini combines the energy of the endocrine system with the nervous system to be more sensitive, so that the whole of thebrain perceives and interprets signals. All rivers flow into the ocean. Each Yoga opens to awaken the Kundalini. What is Kundalini? It is the creative potential of the people. “Kundalini Yoga comes from northern India and has a centuries-long tradition. Its origins date back very far and encrypted according to the Indian conception at the beginning of the Silver Age of the Rishis. However, it is likely that Kundalini Yoga already pre-Aryan Tantric cultures (v 4000-1500. Chr.) Was practiced in the Indus valley.Traditionally it has been passed on orally secretly from teacher to student. Yogi Bhajan was the first who taught publicly the secret teachers and techniques of Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga is part of the shape of Raj Yoga, the royal, unifying discipline, it is a so-called Maha Yoga (highest yoga). The Yoga Shikha-Upanishad describe it as a combined practice of Mantra Yoga, Laya Yoga and Raj Yoga. According to history of the Sikhs, the leaders of all yoga schools gathered in the 15th century under the leadership of the eminent Baal yogi Baba Siri Chand, a son of the first Sikh Guru Nanak. They jointly decided that in future the lineage of Raj Yoga by the subtle-and radiant body of Guru Ram Das (the fourth Sikh Guru) should be passed. This Kundalini Yoga received its connection to the Sikh tradition.
The eight arms of yoga practice of Patanjali are also found in Kundalini Yoga again. All eight units are contained in each complete set of exercises: Yama (fivefold Beherschung), Niyama (fivefold discipline), Asana (posture), pranayama (control of prana / life force), Pratyahara (vote of the senses and thoughts), Dharana (to a point aligned concentration), dhyana (meditation), samadhi (awakening and absorption in the spiritual soul). Kundalini Yoga (or “Yoga of Awareness”) combines asanas (postures) with Pranayama (breathing), mudras (hand postures), Bhandas, reciting mantras, concentration, meditation and relaxation. On the physical level, it allows the experience of unity of body and mind. It stimulates the nervous and immune systems, centers the mind and creates a connection to the soul. Here, your body and mind relax immediately, at the same time the physical and mental powers to be strengthened. On the mental level allows Kundalini Yoga consciousness to come into contact with the subconscious and so to break free from old, obsolete behavior patterns.
Typical for the exercises in Kundalini Yoga are the dynamics in the execution and in comparison to other yoga styles simple attitudes . No special physical skills or experience necessary to learn the fast occurring, beneficial effects of Kundalini Yoga – regardless of physical constitution and age.

The practitioner is providing a certain meditative state of mind here, the “sacred space” so-called. In this space he allows all sensations and accepts it fully. Thereby it can strike a balance between body, mind and soul and healing is possible.Yogi Bhajan has passed this healing art to Guru Dev Singh. This it developed into a school that makes it possible to make this sacred art of healing for everyone to experience and learn. Since 1989, Guru Dev Singh informed world Sat Nam Rasayan. “In Sat Nam Rasayan nothing is further used as the attention and transcendent awareness. The process works like a muscle that one moves to elicit precise changes in reality. Only by paying attention, it is possible to control the five elements and the pranic body, “says Guru Dev Singh.
Gatka is the traditional martial art of the Sikhs from the north of India. It is based on the fundamental principles of the union of body, mind and soul.
